Forget Frames And Get A Little METAL

I NEED to share this product with you.  It is my absolute favorite way to display pictures in my home. From now until forever.   Because they will last that long!  I have already converted most of my family so now, you are next.

I want you to forget about heavy and fragile glass picture frames.  Forget about the kiddos accidentally knocking a picture off the wall and having broken glass all over the floor by their little feetsies. (Yes, that is a word. Google it.)  Forget about attempting to pick out the perfect color mat board.  Forget about all your frames matching or what to do when you want to redecorate. Forget about accidentally buying the wrong size frame for that print you just had made. Forget. it. all.

Choose metal instead.

A metal print is created by printing your image directly onto a piece of thin aluminum and then it gets a protective (usually glossy) coat over the top of it. It cuts out the need for frames and fuss.  You pick a picture, they print it onto the metal and it is ready to go. Bang. Done.

There are several types of metal prints, but my favorite is called a vivid metal.  They are sleek, bright, and shiny!  OH, and seriously lightweight.  AND if they fall off the wall.... no harm done.  They are incredibly durable.   Ask me how I know.....  As I was attempting to hang mine in a fun collage on the wall going up our stairs, one fell out of my hand and went tumbling down about 7 wooden steps.  When I picked it up, there wasn't a scratch or ding anywhere.  Some sort of sorcery going on there, I'm sure of it!  They also come ready to hang when you choose the float mount option.  Score, again!

So here is a little look at my metal prints around my home to give you an idea of what they look like and how they hang.  Like I said, I chose the vivid metals.  However there are also more industrial looking metal prints that are thicker and less shiny because they have this really cool hammered texture to them.  They are pretty sweet as well and would look really amazing in a very modern home, workshop, or even the beloved "man cave".

OK, so how do I get one?

If you have a gallery from me of your pictures - the metal prints are available for purchase right there in your gallery. When you click on an image the option to purchase a vivid metal will pop up on the right side of your screen.

Alternatively, you can also purchase them yourself from Mpix.com.

They should totally give me a kickback for promoting them, right? πŸ˜‰  I guess I will just settle for the pure joy that I know you will get out of ordering some for yourself.

They are available in a wide array of sizes.  I am really loving the square sizes right now!  Which take a little creative cropping and it doesn't work with every image, but it makes for really fun collage possibilities on your wall.

Now- just a heads up... occasionally some images will look a little different once printed on metal and yes the image will be a little softer than when printed on actual photographic paper.  But personally, I like the effect it has on an image.
